Juan Cabral, (born 1978) is well-known, Argentine, film director known for directing several internationally-renowned television commercials, such as the Cadbury's 'Gorilla' advert and Sony Bravia's 'Paint', 'Balls' & 'Rabbits' advert.[1][2] He currently works with the production company MJZ.
Cabral started out studying graphic design and painting at the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina before beginning his career working for Agulla & Baccetti, where he worked on advertisements for HSBC, Sprite and Renault. After this, he joined advertising agency Mother where he worked on adverts for The Observer and Orange.[3]
In 2004 Cabral moved to London and joined Fallon, producing the Cadbury's 'Gorilla' advert and the Sony Bravia series.[3][1] In 2011 Cabral left Fallon to join MJZ after returning to Argentina in 2008 and is currently a commercial film director.[1]
Over his ten-year career he has won many awards, such as seven Cannes Lions and three One Show awards.
